CASA -- A partnership community outreach of John Knox Presbyterian Church and the Brazilian Christian Church (PCUSA).
"Casa" means "home", in Portuguese and Spanish. "Home" is a safe environment, where children should feel loved, respected and cared for. At CASA, we want your children to feel like they are in their "second home". Click on the CASA logo to see pictures of CASA in action!
The philosophy of the Christian After School Academy ("CASA") is grounded in the Christian faith.
Jesus commands us to love one another, help one another and respect one another. Our program is a mission outreach to our community and has been created out of a love for children and families, recognizing that there is a need for assistance in providing a safe, loving environment for children of working parents:

The CASA schedule is set in accordance with the Cobb County school calendar. CASA will be closed on the following national or "bank" holidays:
On all other occasions that Cobb County Schools are closed (Teacher workdays, Winter and Spring Break, etc.), CASA will be open from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided, but each child must bring a sack lunch, as lunch is not provided. The Full Day rate is $35 per day.
Structure is as important to children as it is to adults. We strive to follow this daily schedule, taking into account that some days are just going to be different!
Each student signs a contract agreeing to the following guidelines:
CASA can accept students who attend any school. Students who attend Powers Ferry Elementary are escorted in their walk to CASA by a CASA instructor. The CASA bus makes daily pickups at Sedalia Park, Brumby, Sope Creek and East Valley Elementary Schools. Transportation must be arranged by the parent for students from any other school.
