Join us in a mission trip to the Gulf Coast to renew HOPE for displaced families.
Relief and recovery efforts in response to Hurricane Katrina are still ongoing in the Gulf Coast area, and many people are still displaced. Imagine the devastation you would feel if your home was suddenly uninhabitable, and that now, more than two years later, you were still unable to enjoy a comfortable evening in your home. This is exactly the situation that many on the Gulf Coast still face.
The John Knox Presbyterian Church is dedicated to helping these people get home. We are planning a mission trip to Gulfport MS as a part of the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program to work on rebuilding houses for our Mississippi neighbors. Join us as we assemble a team of caring Christians to do reconstruction work.
Our work teams will be leaving Marietta for Gulfport on September 30 and return on October 6. If your schedule won't permit you to be away for a full week, we would be happy to have you with us for as little as three days. The cost is only $20 per person per day to cover the cost of the shelter and meals. A part of our effort will be a fund-raising campaign to underwrite these costs as much as possible.
If you'd like to see more about our project, please click here, and check back often for more information as it becomes available. There will be a link here for signing up for the trip shortly. If you'd like to be included on our list, please use the contact information below. We'd love to hear from you.
As is always the case, the last trip seemed most rewarding to those who gave of their time and talents. That is the way it is as we give of ourselves as Christians. Please consider joining us for one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Call and reserve your place today.
